Why photography?

Because I love it! It all started because my grandpa had a passion for photography. I was told he carried his camera around with him everywhere he went. My grandpa died when I was young and I never had the chance to know him. To learn why my grandpa was so passionate about photography I grabbed his old Minolta film camera and began shooting. As a child I dreamed of being a photographer for National Geographic capturing beauty all around the world. I think what really happened was even better. I get to be a stay at home mom and capture those precious moments I have daily with my kids. Why would I need to take pictures of a gorilla habitat when I have my own little monkeys at home!
