Scott & Morgan recently celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. We decided to have a little fun with their shoot and created a simple wedding look at a beautiful old church in downtown Salt Lake. Morgan wore 2 different beautiful gowns by Elizabeth Cooper Design and we changed up her look a bit by using several different headpieces by, Crown Your Gown. A beautiful green and white bouquet and peach macarons were the perfect finishing touches.
Morgan and Rachel were married a couple months ago at the Bountiful Temple. Our winter this year was an extremely mild one, but their wedding happened to be one of the coldest days EVER! Ok that may be an exaggeration but we all froze our tushies off to get these pictures! The picture of the groomsmen doing their muscleman pose makes me laugh because immediately after I finished that shot they all ran to the warmth of their cars as fast as they could….whimpering from the cold the whole way! 🙂
The reception was held that night at the beautiful Canterbury Place in Bountiful. Everything was gorgeous and Morgan and Rachel were such a great couple to work with!
You may have noticed this family on my blog before. The Voehl’s are good friends and neighbors of ours and they know how to rock family pictures! Last fall we decided to do a quick session at a park just down the street from us in Bountiful. The lighting was beautiful, kids cooperated, and my kids (who were running around behind me) didn’t photobomb too many of their pictures. So overall I’d call that a successful session!
Kodey and Sarah were married just days before Christmas. Our crazy Utah weather gave us a day of rain instead of the usual snow, which meant running around temple square as fast as possible to get these pictures. It was so cold! Kodey and Sarah were good sports and didn’t let the rain ruin their day! I loved this wedding! I have loved getting to know this awesome couple! They are the sweetest and so much in love! I wish them all the happiness in the world!

A few months ago Elizabeth Cooper’s Design and I put together a gorgeous shoot up in the Salt Lake foothills. We worked with so many talented vendors that helped bring our vision to life. I scouted out an awesome location at an old Lime Kiln. We hiked up a table, decorations, cake, flowers, dress, camera gear, etc, etc in the heat and dirt. but it was so worth it! All our hard work resulted in my favorite shoot of 2014! As an added bonus it got featured on weddingchicks.com!
Check out all the amazing talent:
I don’t run sales very often but in honor of this new year (that I am determined to make the best year yet!) I am running a special. Wahoo! Yipee! Woot, Woot! So here are all the details you need to save on your wedding photography:
You must first:
Sing the alphabet backwards
Hop on one foot 14 times
Do a back flip while simultaneously whistling the Lamb Chops theme song.
Good luck!
Haha ok I kid, I kid!

Kodey and Sarah were married just days before Christmas. With December weather being a bit unpredictable they decided to do their formal session at the same place they were getting married, the Salt Lake Temple. It was a smart move for sure! The day of their formals the weather was unusually warm for December (and it poured on their wedding day) I’m so glad we got to take our time and get the shots we wanted while the weather cooperated instead of rushing through it on the wedding day. They started their session with a “first look”, revealing Sarah’s gorgeous dress! We got lots of stunning images and the Christmas lights added a little magic to the night.
This past fall my brother-in-law was wed to his gorgeous bride. These two met a couple years ago while both working at Montage Deer Valley. Juliana went back home to Brazil for school and they continued to date long distance. Last winter Juliana came for a visit and Peter popped the question while on a date at La Caille. Juliana again returned to Brazil to finish her law degree (she’s a smarty pants) and after graduation moved back to Utah. They were married a month later at a beautiful home up Lamb’s Canyon. This wedding was a long time coming and I couldn’t be happier for them! Congrats Peter and Juliana!
