There are many photographers in Utah so certain locations get used over and over again. Memory Grove is a photography hot spot! I have shot at this location several times which can be a positive and negative thing. The positive is knowing the lighting, knowing what you are working with and knowing the best spots to shoot at. The negative, it lacks a little in creativity. With this shoot I tried to think a little outside the box and purposely avoided all the commonly used spots. Thinking outside the box actually took us just outside memory grove to the street leading to it. I have always loved the cute vintage looking houses that line the street that seem to urge you back to “simpler” times. These seemed so perfect for this sweet, happy couple. I had Rachel and Jon stand in front of one house in particular that I thought was adorable. The owner happened to be outside of the house next door. He loved that we were using his house as our back drop and encouraged us to use his porch swing as well. A dream moment for any photographer! I took full advantage of his porch, his swing, and white picket fence and was thrilled with the results!
Rachel and Jon have a sweet tenderness to their relationship that they weren’t afraid to show. I love how loving and playful these pictures turned out!
